The jacket is reinforced on both shoulders with extra fabric / polyester and reinforced elbows with soft rubber elbow that is removable. 

The jacket has ventilation zippers under the arms, hands-on when it feels warm on long walks. Fixed hood with stiff edge for better fit on snow or cold winds.
